RESIDENTIAL PLANS

Q: Since a dome is a free span structure, why can't I utilize any floor plan that suits my fancy?
A: This is a common question. The answer is you can! Because there are no interior walls that support the dome shell, you have complete freedom of design. It should be noted, however, that there are other considerations that are just as important as those dictated by desire and lifestyle. Eccentric design, although attractive to some, can cause problems for carpenters (thus increasing labor costs) and building inspectors, as well as bankers and appraisers, making loans difficult to obtain. needs.
